Nota d'usoIl sostantivo currant indica l'uvetta: 200 grams of currants, 200 grammi di uvetta; significa anche “ribes” e viene utilizzata anche in parole composte per indicare alcune varietà di ribes: blackcurrant, ribes nero. Come sostantivo, current invece significa “corrente”, nel senso di un flusso di acqua, aria o elettricità: to be swept along by the strong current, essere spazzati via da una forte corrente; 240 volts alternating current, corrente alternata a 240 volt.
